What we offer our guests
Frith Lodge sits in a really remote location (so it’s not for everyone!) but for those looking for idyllic isolation with lots of walking and cycling from the front door, it will feel like you have found a piece of heaven!
We offer clean, comfortable and well maintained self catering accommodation as described on our website. The maximum number of guests is 10 including children. Whilst toddlers and babies are welcome please be mindful that the entire ground floor is flagstone.
The accommodation comprises of 5 en suite bedrooms, 3 Double Rooms (kingsize beds) and 2 Twin Rooms, all have hypoallergenic bedding. A lounge with woodburning stove, dining room and bar/snug area. We are a licensed premises so can arrange for ‘on tap’ beer barrels to be purchased/ wine, spirits etc. There is a washing machine in the boot room, we supply non bio washing liquid. Frith Lodge does not have a tumble dryer but has a dehumidifier to dry out wet washing, walking clothing and boots if the weather has been unkind to you! There is also a ground floor WC.
We will provide 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels, a bath mat and two toilet rolls per bathroom. Additional towels can be provided at £1.00 per towel. If you stay with us for more than 7 nights we will provide you with a change of bed linen and towels without charge.
We will provide consumable cleaning materials, including washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets in the kitchen and bathroom cleaning essentials.
The well equipped kitchen has two ovens, an induction hob, full size fridge and freezer, 2 microwaves and a dishwasher. It is supplied with sufficient tea towels for your stay, a paper towel dispenser, kitchen roll, cling film, tin foil and baking parchment.
We will provide electricity and heating oil as appropriate free of charge during your stay and ensure that your accommodation is warm and welcoming on your arrival. We will provide a complimentary basket of logs and a scuttle of coal. Further supplies available at £5 per basket or scuttle. We do not charge for kindling and paper.
We offer free Wi-Fi and have the fastest facility available. Please be aware that in our rural area the actual speed which you enjoy may be less than you are accustomed to at home. There is NO mobile signal or 3G/4G/5G!
We live in an adjacent property so will be available when we are home to help with any questions you may have, but we will endeavour to be as unobtrusive as possible.
Frith Lodge is well stocked with maps and walking guides of the local area which you are free to use during your stay.
On your arrival day we will be available between 4pm and 7pm to welcome you, show you to your accommodation and familiarise you with your surroundings.
Later arrivals can be accommodated if arranged with us in advance or, if you are delayed, while you are travelling. Earlier arrivals are only possible if arranged the day before or the morning of arrival.
What we ask of our guests
Complete the booking form in full, read the Terms and Conditions and pay the deposit of £200.00.**
Pay the balance of your holiday 8 weeks** before your arrival date and the Housekeeping Deposit 1 week before your arrival date.
Please bring any nessecary equipment for under 5’s as we do not provide cots, high chairs, booster seats etc.
Please look after your accommodation, its furnishings and fittings during your stay and use indoor shoes or slippers inside. Please leave it in a clean and tidy condition. The Good Housekeeping Deposit is held against the risk of any damage, breakages or extra cleaning needed to prepare Frith Lodge to our usual high standards. We understand minor breakages happen (a wine glass etc) and do not treat this as ‘damage’.
Do not bring any pets on to the premises. This includes our car parking area and applies to dogs left in cars. Please remember that future guests may have deliberately sought out pet free accommodation.
If you are a smoker or e-cigarette user please smoke or vape only outside Frith Lodge and depose of your cigarette responsibly in the pots provided.
Please let us know immediately if anything is not as you would expect.
Please drive up our access track with consideration for any livestock in the fields, leave gates as found.
** From October 2020 to April 2021 we are not taking any deposits for bookings and full payment (plus Good Housekeeping Deposit) is required 3 weeks prior to your arrival date. We aim to give as much flexibility as possible in this rapidly changing world we are currently in!
