There are plenty of walks to take straight from the door, the fabulous Keld to Muker loop with lunch at the Farmers Arms, or walk to the home of TV’s Yorkshire Shepherdess at Ravenseat via Great Britain’s highest pub the Tan Hill Inn. If walking is not for your party then why not take the car over to Hawes via the Buttertubs Pass, route of the Grand Depart of the Tour de France. Visit the Yorkshire Dales Countryside Museum and the Wensleydale Creamery and it’s wonderful tasting room.
There is plenty to do here and we can give you lots of ideas, you can of course just kick back and relax in idyllic isolation.

Local Pubs
The Tan Hill Inn Britains highest pub and Frith Lodge is it’s nearest neighbour. Food is served from 12pm-8pm (2 miles)
The Farmers Arms Muker Muker is a typical Yorkshire Dales village which makes a great days walk from Frith Lodge. For an evening meal the Farmers does not take bookings so best advice for a large group is to arrival early, they serve evening meals from 6pm – 8.30pm. (6 miles)
The Kings Head Gunnerside Gunnerside is a bit further down Swaledale, the Kings Head is open all day and tables for evening meals can be booked ahead. (8 miles)
The White Hart Hawes Hawes is a great drive from Frith Lodge over the ‘Buttertubs.’ Tables can be (and need to be) booked for evening meals here, food served from 5pm – 8.45pm. (11 miles)
The CB Inn Arkengarthdale set in a beautiful location in Arkengarthdale the CB Inn offers a quality menu, slightly more expensive but in our opinion worth it! (11 miles)
