Thinking of New Year Resolutions for 2018, how about the Walk 1000 Miles challenge? Why…
Hay time and Agriculture Shows
Nearly through August and the weather hasn’t been exactly would we and the farms would hope for! There just hasn’t been very many consecutive days of fine dry weather to cut, dry and bale the hay. However it’s not entirely a washout and it’s good to look out today and see and smell the lovely cut grass being baled up.
August also sees the many Agricultural Shows taking place and while we wait for the Muker show in September we decided to head off to visit the Kilsney Show. We had a fantasic day watching the sheep trials, seeing the champion sheep in their pens and tasting some wonderful local produce. The day finished with a different kind of sheep show which was hilarous! Take a look at thesheepshow.co.uk
