Thinking of New Year Resolutions for 2018, how about the Walk 1000 Miles challenge? Why…
Muker Show and a Cheese Festival
The Muker Show held on the first Wednesday of September was again a fabulous success. There was a fantastic number of entries in the Show tent which showed off what amazing talent we have in the Dales along with some great visitor entries too! And talking of visitors the Fell Race included a runner on holiday from Mauritius!! The Yorkshire Dales National Park talked through their project ‘Every barn tells a story’ and our Jess & Billie got a 2nd each (again) in their ‘Working Dog type’ show class. We had a good sing-a-long outside the Farmers Arms and then back to the newly refurbished and warm (thanks to our new woodburner) Reading Room at the Village Hall for a Community Evening of sharing our award winning (or not!!) exibits and entries to the show.
The Yorkshire Dales Cheese Festival 23rd to 30th September a whole week celebrating cheese!! Starting at the Wensleydale Creamery (where better to start a Cheese Festival??) followed by all sorts of events happening at some great venues all over the National Park. See Yorkshire Dales Cheese Festival
